Yesterday Chad Schuldt made this statement about parents who have concerns that the Sioux Falls public school system’s Sex Ed curriculum turning their children into sexual perverts:
The Argus is reporting that about a dozen (12) out of several thousand parents voiced their concerns.
A message to Superintendent Homan ... why are you falling for the prudish agenda of these fringe fundies?
Schuldt demonstrates exactly why it is correct to state that the Democrat's platform is anti-parent and therefore anti-family. Planned Parenthood’s web site gives us even more evidence:
Since the early 1980s, the "family values" movement has won the collaboration of governments and public institutions, from Congress to local school boards, in abridging students' constitutional rights. Schools now block student access to sexual health information in class, at the school library, and through the public library's Internet portals. They violate students' free speech rights by censoring student publications of articles referring to sexuality. Abstinence-only programs often promote alarmist misinformation about sexual health and force-feed students religious ideology that condemns homosexuality, masturbation, abortion, and contraception. In doing so, they endanger students' sexual health.
This is what the far-left believes. Those conservative parents, who are religious bigots, are violating their children’s’ rights. So the far-left elitists are going the change this through curriculum in the public schools. And this Sioux Falls parents has it figured out:
Parent Geraldine Keller, who has two middle school-aged children, said sixth-graders have just finished having daily recess and seventh-graders still get excited about trick-or-treating. She said the Health Smart materials don't match the culture in Sioux Falls.
"These are not the discussion starters for us at supper," she said.
Keller said the materials allow teachers to help create moral and value judgments.
"My values may not be your values, and you do not have the right to propagandize my children," she said.
Its is parents like Geraldine Keller who far-left extremists like Chad Schuldt hate. They are called names, such as fundies and prudish. The far-left believe these parents have no right to speak out. They have no right to raise their children with the moral values of their own choosing. It is the far-left who is intolerant. So they take a person's money through the authority of the governemtn to tax, and then use it to attack the religious beliefs of the taxpayer. And they believe in a wall of separation?
These parents need our support. The committee will meet again at 7 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Instructional Planning Center. I urge fellow conservatives to show up and show your support.
