Violence directed at conservatives

WorldNetDaily has this disturbing report:

In a video skit sponsored by online bookseller Amazon.com, leftist talk-radio host Al Franken assaults an actor playing a conservative critic, kicking him in the groin and smashing a stool over his back.

In the skit, Franken promotes his new book, "The Truth (with Jokes)," mentioning the "right-wing cabal that is ruining this country."

The controversial author – who told both TV host David Letterman and "Today" show host Matt Lauer that he thinks Karl Rove and Lewis Libby will be "executed" for treason in connection with the CIA leak probe – proceeds to talk to three alleged Amazon.com readers about rating his books.

The first two readers say they gave Franken's earlier book, "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them," five stars on the site's rating system.

The conservative then admits to Franken that he gave "Lies" only one star.

"I'm just a right-wing jerk," the man says. "And you want the terrorists to win."

He also tells Franken: "You've never been funny," to which the author responds: "All right, that's it."

Franken then kicks him in the groin and smashes a wooden stool over his back. One of the liberal reviewers helps out by whacking the hunched-over conservative on the back of the head with a bottle.

"That felt great," Franken then says. "Thanks, Amazon!"

An announcer then encourages the viewer to order a copy of Franken's new book.

Using violence against conservatives in dramatizations is not new for left-wing activists. As WorldNetDaily reported last summer, an online animated video sponsored by Planned Parenthood's San Francisco-area branch featured a superhero character drowning an abstinence promoter in a trash can and blasting into oblivion several pro-life picketers protesting in front of one of the organization's facilities.
