Do you really think Cory Heidelberger would give advice that is beneficial to the GOP:
Republicans, if any of you are still desinging Palin-2012 posters, get serious. Back Pawlenty, Thune, or Huckabee. Draft Rounds. Push an amendment to allow foreign-born presidents and run Schwarzenegger. But listen to Noonan: put Palin behind you.
That was said on a post the covered a Peggy Noonan personal attack on Palin. Cory said this about the column:
Noonan follows with a classic debate-style point-by-point debunking of every bit of Palinmaniac mythology (Among the best: The elites don't hate Palin. "The elites made her.").
Cory’s statement was very much like TPM’s:
She then proceeds to dissemble the Palin mythology one step at a time.
After reading the column, I saw a lot of personal attacks and the typical elitist approach that you get from Progressives, not much of a debate at all. Here is another view of Noonan’s column:
Why does Peggy Noonan find Sarah Palin so distasteful? Presumably, I am told, it's because Noonan worships at the altar of Ronald Reagan, and Palin is no Reagan. Female friends of mine tell me of a deeper hatred: Noonan is troubled by Palin's family first policy -- that nagging and annoying call from nature which reminds humanity of its proper priorities.
Whatever the case, in today's Wall Street Journal Noonan assembles her arsenal, sharpens her nails, and unleashes her most disturbing and unhealthy attack so far on Sarah Palin.
My view is that the Progressive elite will not tolerate those who speak truth to power.
