Now Schuldt correctly points out that the Domenici Amendment was related to ethanol only and was not the Energy bill. I stand corrected.

And isn’t ethanol what South Dakota was most interested in? And Daschle couldn’t get it passed on 4/29/2004. Sculdt refuses to hold Daschle, the minority leadr at the time, accountable for that failure.

Then Schuldt talks about the 2003 Energy Bill, but doesn’t admit that he was wrong in stating it included drilling in ANWR.

Today, I gave both John Thune and Tim Johnson credit for their efforts on the gun liability bill's passage. But the Clear Cut Kidder can’t give John Thune any credit for his effort in getting the ethanol provision increased in the Energy Bill that is heading to the desk of President Bush. So please go out and play with the kids, because "kid" is the operative word to Schuldt’s web site.

Schuldt can’t get by the fact that John Thune defeated Tom Daschle. The mood of the Senate has changed because of it. During the Daschle years, the filibuster happy Senate Democrats could not get by a cloture vote on an energy bill the excluded both ANWR and the MTBE issues. 4/29/2004…check it out.

Schuldt can’t even be honest about the time. His latest piece of propaganda is dated July 30, 2005 at 5:07 PM. At the time I write these words, it is only 12:19PM on July 30^th 2005.

CCK is a hardcore liar

A hardcore liar is one who has been made aware of the truth, but continues the false allegations while attacking the messenger. After seeing the light of truth from this web site, Chad Schuldt attacks me for not allowing comments as he continues the lie regarding ANWR. The last time I tried to leave a comment at the liar’s web site, it didn’t go through. I also have had numerous comments deleted.

Now back to the issue of ANWR.

The Republicans pulled ANWR from the Energy Bill in 2003. Did the Democrats compromise by allowing MTBE in…no. To Democrats compromise means having everything while the Republicans get nothing. And when the Republicans compromise, the Democrats refuse to even admit it.

And Schuldt...how much is Hildebrand paying you?

CCK is a liar

Chad Schuldt makes this claim:

That is absolutely false. Last year's bill did not include drilling in ANWR. Here is a report that proves Schuldt lied:

The bill does not open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) to drilling, nor does it authorize an inventory of gas reserves along the Outer Continental Shelf — two key provisions opposed by Democrats and their environmental allies.

Lying is just another tactic of the Desperate Delusional Dumped Daschle Disciples.

So lets remind the DDDDD that it was up to Tom Daschle to get the bill through the Senate:

The NRA needed 60 votes to ensure passage of this bill. This would not have been possible without support from Senators from the both sides of the aisle. We thank Minority Leader Harry Reid for supporting this legislation and the members in his caucus who voted for this proposed law.

America is a better and safer place with the passage of S. 397. Members of the United States Senate who voted for this measure placed principle over politics and voted for good policy.

I would like to extend thanks to Senator Tim Johnson. I have been critical of his votes in 1999 and 2000 regarding gun shows and the Million Mom March, but he did vote in support of the Second amendment and was a co-sponsor along with John Thune to this very important bill.

Also note that this will put a roadblock in the Democratic activist Attorney Generals who have targeted the gun industry with the intent to destroy it with predatory lawsuits.

S.D’s endless campaign

The 2004 Senate victory in South Dakota of Republican John Thune over then Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle did not end the bitter election campaign. Since the election, at least five South Dakota blogs have appeared with the only apparent purpose of attacking Thune.

Former Daschle staffers openly run two of the blogs, and two others are anonymous. A fifth is run by Todd Epp, who did part-time legal work for Daschle's campaign. Epp told this column that Steve Hildebrand, Daschle's campaign manager, learned from Thune's use of paid bloggers in 2004 and now "is kind of behind some of this."

A footnote: In its July quarterly report, the Daschle campaign reported more than $1 million in post-election spending, including a $2,000-a-month salary for Hildebrand and thousands more for his consulting firm. The campaign still has $545,000. Because Daschle has exceeded $5,000 in spending, the Federal Election Commission under its rules asked him if he is a candidate against Thune in 2010. Daschle replied officially that he is not.

Thune getting it done

Highway bill, Energy bill and now the gun liability protection bill are getting done. Tom Daschle failed on all three, but what a difference a Senator makes:

The U.S. Senate today approved legislation shielding gun makers, including Smith & Wesson Holding Corp. and Sturm, Ruger & Co., from lawsuits after Republicans succeeded in blocking most Democratic amendments to the measure. Shares of gun makers rose more than 10 percent.

``We cannot allow this industry to be bankrupted by unfounded lawsuits,'' said Senator John Thune, a South Dakota Republican.

Similar legislation was defeated in the Senate last year after approval of an amendment to ban military-style weapons, a change opposed by the National Rifle Association. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee used a procedural tactic to limit amendments to the measure this year. A similar measure was passed in the House last year and approved by the House Judiciary Committee this year. President George W. Bush supports the legislation.

The report noted why this bill gone done:

Republicans were aided in their efforts to block amendments to the bill by the 2004 elections, which increased their numbers in the 100 member body by three to 54. ``The obvious difference is the change in Senate membership,'' said Rhode Island Democrat Jack Reed, one of the bill's primary opponents.

After John Thune and the people of South Dakota got rid of the Daschle Dead Zone, things are now getting done in the US Senate.

More on McChesney

I have received information from two separate sources that Theron McChesney: filed as a candidate to oppose Bill Earley for the Senate Seat in District 12. He apparently filed as a filler to hold the ballot position until John McIntyre got on the ballot as the Democrat Senate candidate.

I also recall SD Blog Watch Chicken thinking that Thunewatch knew about his identity. So why did he get so nervous this week about his identity being known by Professor PP? Maybe Todd Epp has provided the answer. He posted on Bob Novak’s potential column about the anti-Thune blogs. Epp noted that the Novak people already knew about SD Blog Watch Man. Nathan Peterson mentioned Novak when he outed himself. I have also noted that Theron Chesney had outed himself. But instead of outing himself, the SD Blog Watch Chicken flew the coop. Maybe it was Novak more than PP who spooked the chicken.

This is all to make a hillbilly ponder a while.

I wonder if the Novak people have toalked to Professor PP about the SDBWM?

The SD Blog Watch Chicken is running around with its head off. Even though the chicken shut down his web site, he took shots at this web site from Epp’s web site:

Even your endorsement isn't enough to get me to go to his cut-and-paste train wreck of a site.

I find it interesting that a Republican would have such hatred for someone like me. Todd Epp, and I am sure the rest of the Democrats, are really enjoying this. Especially those who are also too chicken to disclose who they are.

Whoever this person is, I am sure he is scared to death that the committed Republicans might find out his identity. And if some of those committed Republicans are of his own family, that would be a special embarrassment. I think adding some tar to the feathers would be appropriate.

Ted Kennedy busted

"We have to respect that any nominee to the Supreme Court would have to defer any comments on any matters, which are either before the court or very likely to be before the court," Kennedy said during the 1967 press conference. "This has been a procedure which has been followed in the past and is one which I think is based upon sound legal precedent."
