Rush Limbaugh on Chad Sculdt’s mission:
So this current climate of liberals, basically a bunch of spoiled rotten fat cat kids from the sixties who grew up being free enough to have a total focus on me, me, me, me, me. And they have so much time on their hands that they're free to be miserable and mean-spirited and extreme, dour, never positive, without joy, and one of the reasons is, they've got too much time on their hands. They think too much about themselves. They're so self-focused and they analyze themselves and their feelings so constantly that they never have time to go out and live a life that would give them any satisfaction actually accomplishing anything. And so they don't understand why they're so unhappy, they don't understand why they're so miserable. It's got to be the people who aren't at fault. If you're not miserable, if you're feeling good, if you're feeling positive, if you're optimistic, if you believe in the country, all the things they don't, and you're happy, then you're the reason they're unhappy and they've got to come after you. Well, that's who these people are. I'm telling you that they can go after all the Republicans after Duke Cunningham's mess, they can try to create this so-called culture of corruption among the Republicans, they can demoralize the troops, but it's going to be perceived by average, ordinary Americans who tune in now and then and hear it, just as any other average American would hear it, it's nothing but constant whining, constant negativism, constant doom and gloom, and nobody wants to hear that all the time.
It is not inspiring, it is not motivating, you don't build movements the way the liberals are talking and sounding. You don't do it without sounding cheerful and joyful. You don't do it without having some optimism. You cannot take a country which leads the world in freedom and prosperity and opportunity and try to convince the people of this country that they should be miserable, unhappy, and full of doom and gloom with no hope for the future so that you'll put these liberals in charge. You tell me that makes sense? It doesn't make sense. They've got their eyes on '06 and '08. They're not worried a bit, I can't tell you how the Democrats -- I still can't tell you what they stand for, I still can't tell you what they're optimistic about, I still can't remember one thing they've ever said recently they're for. Like I have been telling them, Democrats need to come out of the closet and be honest about, "You want to raise taxes, you want as many abortions as possible, you want the US military to fail, you want the United States not to be a superpower, you believe that we are the problem in the world." Admit this stuff instead of trying to hide behind this imaginary culture of corruption you're trying to create about Republicans.
