Whalen too conservative for GOP?

After reading my previous points, we have to as the question:

The reason why the South Dakota GOP did not support Bruce Whalen was because Whalen was too conservative for them?

In light of Stan Adelstein and the so-called MAINstream Coalition, that probably has a lot of truth to it.

UPDATE: So go to my next post and learn how the Democrats moved to the rifht as the Republicans were moving left. Perhaps in 2008 the goal for the GOP is to out conservative the Democrats.
