Openness and taxpayers’ money

For the record I agree with the efforts of the Democrats and the Argus Leader to provide openness with regard to taxpayers’ money. We should know what are taxes are paying for. At the same time I would think that we would all agree that when tax money goes missing, the same degree of openness is demanded. But that seems to be where the Democrats and the Argus Leader split company. At least when the missing tax money involves a Democrat consulting firm. They are not putting out the same effort they did when the issue was to provide a list of those who earn taxpayers' money while working in a Republican administration.
