Killers will lie

Planned Parenthood concealed its ownership of a huge new abortion facility scheduled to open soon in a Chicago suburb, and pro-life advocates – and at least one city official – are questioning whether the abortion provider can mislead officials without repercussions.

"There's always legal ramifications," Aurora, Ill., Alderman Richard Irvin told the Chicago Tribune while standing with some of the estimated 1,200 pro-life protesters who assembled over the weekend to protest the existence of the structure that had been depicted by owners as an office building.

He was not on the board when the project, proposed by a company identifying itself as "Gemini Office Development," was approved. But he said he has concerns the building was brought into his city under false pretenses, and said the city could sue Planned Parenthood for being deceptive.

There was no acknowledgement during the permit application and construction processes that the project actually was scheduled to be an abortion business. However, as WND columnist Jill Stanek reported, a pro-life construction worker on the 22,000-square foot site became suspicious of the bulletproof glass and surgical suites, components not routine in an office building.

It was soon outed as an abortion facility, prompting the weekend protest, and outrage from pro-life community members who said, as Stanek phrased it, "If citizens may lie to occupancy permit officials, may they also lie to police officers? Or at city council meetings? Where will Aurora draw the line between permissible and impermissible lies?"

More Democrat corruption

Here is another Democrat sin that the Drive-by media will not vigorously persue:

Sen. Hillary Clinton distanced herself Thursday from a leading contributor to her presidential campaign after learning that the donor is a fugitive from the law.

Clinton, appearing at a child care event with New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, said she was as shocked as anyone to learn that Norman Hsu is wanted in California for not showing up to a 1991 sentencing hearing relating to a grand theft plea deal.

"I wish Mr. Hsu well in dealing with the problems he's confronting," Clinton told reporters. "You're free to check with my campaign about how we vet people, but I think it's fair to say we were all very surprised by this."

Spitzer too came to Clinton's defense, saying she can't be expected to know the courtroom status of each of her donors.

"She has had hundreds of thousands of donors," said the governor, who is facing his own legal questions over campaign financing. "Come on, guys, let's get real."

Hsu, an apparel executive who never contributed any money to political campaigns before 2004, reportedly has raised more than $1 million for Democrats and is listed as one of the top 20 Democratic fundraisers in the country.

Kranz continues to promote Tony Dean

I know this is almost a week old, but I have been on vacation in and I posting from the library in Granby, CO.

! was not surprised that dave Kranz would again promote Tony Dean from last Friday’s column:

Tony Dean, renowned South Dakota outdoorsman, is complimenting Sen. John Thune.

The two men were at the center of often tense discussions among outdoorsmen in the 2002 Senate race between Thune and Sen. Tim Johnson.

It started when Dean decided to support Johnson's re-election bid against Thune, and that created the stir among followers of Dean. It was a face-off of loyalties.

Some wrote letters to the editor. Others used the Internet to belittle Dean, angry with his backing of Johnson.

First off, I was not angry at Dean for the “backing of Johnson”. I was angry at how Tony Dean attacked NRA members for being extremists as we articulated the anti-gun positions Senator Johnson took in the wake of the Columbine shootings. Not only did he vote in favor of the Clinton legislation against gun shows. He also voted in support of the anti-gun protest lead by Rosie O’Donnell. I was angry at Tony Dean for refusing to deal with the truth about Senator Johnson’s voting record. Tony Dean mislead the voters by attacking the NRA, who backed John Thune, as a bunch of radicals as he said Johnson was a strong Second Amendment supporter. And Dave Kranz used the Argus Leader to promote those lies.

The only reason Tony Dean supported Johnson over Thune was because Johnson supported the far-left environmental position that Tony Dean himself adheres to. Now Tony Dean seems to be pleased with Thune’s current position:

Now, five years later, Dean says he sees Thune making progress with his positions on environmental issues.

Dean has shared his current thoughts with reporters, including a conversation I had with him this week. He says Thune "has made strides in the conservation area, which is important to me."

And to be fair, Senator Johnson as also moved back to supporting the Second Amendment since his 2002 re-election. In fact, the Democrat Party has tried to fool us into thinking that they have abandoned their far-left position on guns. But I am not holding my breath.

Now in regard to the environmental issue, here is more on Thune’s move to the left:

Ever since Thune entered the Senate, Dean told me he has seen progress in some of his positions.

In addition to introducing some biodiesel legislation, he was first to sign on to the sodbuster program, Dean said.

"I visited with him two weeks ago, spent an hour. I jokingly said, 'Keep this up on conservation, and I will have to support you in the next election.' I am pleased with the turnaround John has made," Dean said.

Was Dean serious about supporting Thune?

"Of course I would," Dean said. "John still has a ways to go, but I am confident. He is a staunch proponent of CRP," the Conservation Reserve Program, which supplies farmers and ranchers with technical and financial help for soil, water and other natural resource concerns.

So as long as Thune keeps acting like a Democrat, Tony Dean may support him. And when Tony Deans says, “John still has a ways to go”, only shows just how far-left Tony Dean is. The truth is, he was the true radical of the 2002 election cycle, not the NRA members who was supporting the traditional American principles of gun rights for law abiding citizens. That is why he had to be fast with the truth. That is why the Argus Leader came to his aid. That is why I started to blog in 2003. At least Tony Dean can be credited for one good thing

Pro American movement underway

A few months ago, the national media coverage of the war in Iraq was downright depressing for military families and their supporters.

News media coverage of Iraq was showcasing acts of violence on a nightly basis. Television commentators solemnly assured us that Iraq was a hopeless cause and was already consumed by a full-blown civil war. Anti-military protesters were waging constant protests here on the home front, throwing red paint at veterans' memorials and military recruitment centers.

But now things are changing in a big way.

I am in a unique position to share some of my insider secrets from the efforts of pro-troop supporters to fight back. And it's really cool.

Dozens of groups, opinion shapers, talk-show hosts, grass-roots conservatives and others are getting it – al-Qaida isn't the enemy we have to worry about the most; our troops can handle those guys with their lethal determination.

The most dangerous enemies are here at home, those deliberately plotting to undermine support for the missions of our troops. This fifth column in America has engaged in the psychological warfare of defeatism in a way we have not seen since the Vietnam War. Even President Bush is now acknowledging that fact.

The pro-victory group Freedom's Watch unveiled a $15 million television and radio ad campaign featuring compelling first-hand testimonials from people who understand quite clearly that "SURRENDER IS NOT AN OPTION." (You can watch the ads online).

We know that if al-Qaida wins, we'll be hit with deadly terrorist attacks in this country, and the countries of our allies, over and over again.

The anti-victory/anti-military/anti-American/anti-everything coalition of liberal Democrats and Green Party members do not have a unifying theme other than what they're against. That's led to vicious infighting between the leaders of the anti-victory organizations that has spilled out into public view.

As Ann Coulter recently noted, there's a colorful recent history of anti-war activists eating their own for, what else, political gain.

Another example: Cindy Sheehan, grieving mother turned professional America-basher is transforming yet again. Having previously earned the marquee role as the star of the left's anti-war movement and leading candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize, she's now been recast. Today Democratic Party activists deride Sheehan as a has-been, the object of so much derision after she announced plans to run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Sheehan's legacy, Camp Casey in Crawford, Texas, is as forlorn and pitiful as the two lone anti-war protesters who are all that remain of the once formidable army of activists. As the Washington Post points out, one of the last holdouts is Sonny, the dog. Including the dog in their counts allow the anti-war crowd to claim their numbers have doubled!

Contrast that to what you'll see next month when an array of pro-troop and veterans organizations fight back like you've never seen before. We're putting America on notice that victory is the only option. But the anti-war politicians are already starting to come up with mealy-mouth "compromise" solutions. You cannot compromise with terrorists. Their negotiation strategies usually end with human body parts flying through the air as a result of an IED explosion or the self-detonation of a suicide bomber in a hotel or restaurant.

Far-left feminism down

Note to Todd Epp. The Janice Shaw Crouse column (H/T to Dakota Voice) I am about to post on is from a WOMAN, not a man. So hold off with the bigotry charge.

The above mentioned column points to a decline in the far-left radical feminist movement:

The bottom line is that while most people want equal opportunity for their daughters, the number of women who support the extreme "women’s rights" agenda is dwindling. The radical feminists who remain are well-connected (think Hillary Clinton) and give generously to the cause (think Teresa Heinz Kerry), but they have lost the mainstream and the young, who are focused on achieving the potential of their own future. The emphasis now is on getting women entrepreneurs to "take their success in business and turn it into political clout." There is a large pool of female entrepreneurs –– between 1997 and 2006, the number of women-owned firms grew 42 percent compared to the rate of growth of all firms, which was only 23 percent. These women, though, would have to take time away from their businesses if they ran for office. Plus, most of them are happy with the federal and state policies that enabled them to get their business up and running profitably. They are not easy prey for the "victim" rhetoric of the major political women’s groups seeking candidates.

And the traditional American Judeo-Christian worldview is on the rise among females:

In short, the women who are complaining loudest about women not being involved in politics want only a certain type of woman in office –– those who will support the so-called "women’s rights" agenda –– abortion-on-demand, the mainstreaming of lesbian and homosexual lifestyles, and condom-based sex education in the public schools beginning in kindergarten. Clearly, more and more women are rejecting that agenda in favor of the traditional Judeo-Christian values. The old-guard feminists are still around, but they are losing influence and a whole new generation of conservative young women is coming along to replace them in the halls of power.

Concerned Women For America is a great example. Gasp, Sibby promoting women. Todd Epp are you shocked? You should not be, their link has been at my sidebar for a long time. When are you going to correct those false accusations you put up on Keloland?

CNN pulls a Todd Epp

While Todd Epp falsely promotes anti-Christian bigotry on Keloland, Christiane Amanpour does the same on CNN:

A CNN special series airing this week entitled "God's Warriors" – produced and anchored by the network's chief international correspondent, Christiane Amanpour – is "one of the most grossly distorted programs" ever aired on mainstream American television, according to a media watchdog report.

"God's Warriors" takes up six prime-time hours on CNN this week, airing in three parts at 9 p.m. EST. It started Tuesday and concludes tonight.

The first part of the series, "God's Jewish Warriors," compared Jewish and Christian "radicals" to Muslim supporters of suicide terror, presented anti-Israel commentators with no counterbalance, falsely labeled the West Bank as Palestinian land, and minimized Jewish rights to the Temple Mount – Judaism's holiest site, the critics said.

During Tuesday's program, Amanpour also conducted a friendly interview about Israel with former President Jimmy Carter, whose most recent book, "Palestine: Peace, not Apartheid," criticized the Jewish state's treatment of Palestinians. The book was slammed for a series of falsehoods and was widely labeled anti-Israeli by multiple media critics.

"[The CNN series] is false in its basic premise, established in the opening scene in which Jewish (and Christian) religious fervency is equated with that of Muslims heard endorsing 'martyrdom,' or suicide-murder. There is, of course, no counterpart among Jews and Christians to the violent jihadist Muslim campaigns under way across the globe," stated the report by the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America.

Amanpour's CNN documentary "God's Warriors" describes itself as focusing on religious fundamentalism among Christians, Muslims and Jews.

Tuesday's segment started off comparing "Jewish terrorists" to that of Muslims, specifically focusing on the few instances of violence or attempted violence by religiously motivated Jews against Muslims. It told the story of Baruch Goldstein, an American-born Israeli physician who killed 29 Arabs in the West Bank city of Hebron in 1994. Goldstein's actions were widely condemned by Israelis and worldwide Jewry. The organization he was a part of was outlawed in Israel.

States the CAMERA report: "While in reality Jewish 'terrorism' is virtually non-existent, the program magnifies at length the few instances of [Jewish] violence" comparing it to "violent jihadist Muslim campaigns" when indeed there is no such comparison "either in numbers of perpetrators engaged or in the magnitude of death and destruction wrought."

IRS used to attack free speech

The IRS is using its authority to intimate those Christians who speak out aaisnt abortion:

A church whose pastor is a leader in the local pro-life efforts has earned an Internal Revenue Service demand for an audit of the organization's books by posting its biblically mandated support for life on its marquee.

The IRS demand arrived recently for Pastor Mark Holick and the Spirit One Christian Center at which he serves in Wichita, Kan., and he says it's a result of the church's work against abortion in a city that features one of the world's premiere late-term abortionists, George Tiller.

"He not only kills late-term babies but, if parents so desire, he will baptize the babies before he burns them to ashes in his (on premises) incinerator," the church statement said of Tiller.

Tiller's political connections in Kansas have been documented by Operation Rescue, a pro-life organization, and reported by WND.

Holick said local Christian ministries have been effective in bringing an end to the Wichita abortion industry, leaving only Tiller's abortion clinic operating. Now he's also facing criminal charges alleging he failed to follow state law in performing those procedures.

But Holick said the message he's getting is straightforward: "Don't touch abortion – if you do, we will come after you!"

"An examination of your records may be necessary in order to resolve our concerns about your organization's possible political campaign intervention," the letter, from Marsha A. Ramirez, director of examinations for the IRS, said. "Records to be examined include financial and accounting records, such as check registers and/or canceled checks, records of contributions made to candidates, solicitations made on behalf of candidates, and evidence of any in-kind support for political campaigns."

Holick earlier had responded to the IRS demand that he answer 31 questions about the church and its ministries, including a series of pro-life messages posted on the church's marquee, and he did so by citing the biblical instructions for what he was doing.

He suggested at that time that the IRS, perhaps, should brush up on the freedoms assured U.S. citizens regarding religion and speech before making such demands in the future.

The intolerance of Todd Epp

After Todd Epp started a policy because he wanted me to allow comments on this web site, he made this comment:

I'm glad to see you're finally man enough to include comments. But I have my own blog. I don't have the desire to comment on yours. Save that for your readers.

So not only his Epp’s policy unfair, it is without merit. The only purpose of his policy is that he hates me and does not respect my point of view. Todd Epp is showing his intolerance. Not only that, he also is showing that he can’t defend his Cultural Marxist positions. Of course nobody can. All they can do is call us names. In this case he accuses me of not being a man. They also create rules for us to follow that they themselves don't follow. Such is the tyranny of the far-left. And Epp wonders why his ideas are considered communistic in nature.

North American herd

I attended a Farm Bill Forum at Dakotafest in Mitchell, SD today. On the panel was Senator John Thune, Representative Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, Eric Nelson from the Tim Johnson office, and Bill Even, South Dakota Secretary of Agriculture. Most of the discussion was on the Farm Bill recently passed by the House and the expected activity in the Senate regarding that issue. There was also discussion on the energy front as Agriculture is now a part of that issue.

What really caught my attention was a question regarding the import of Canadian cattle and the BSE problem. I did not know we had resumed importing Canadian beef. They were passing around some kind of report that mentioned 10 more cases of BSE in Canada, but I was not able to Google it just now. The question was how come we can continue to import beef from Canada when the BSE problem still looms. Herseth Sandlin blamed the Bush administration for allowing this to continue and mentioned something about those in DC who talk about the "North American herd". I did find this from a Janury 2005 report from the High Plans/Midwest Ag Journal:

One spike driving a rift between the two sides of the argument regarding the Canada-U.S. border's status for beef trade is a semantical one. Since BSE first surfaced on the North American continent, the control and surveillance of the disease has been called for in terms of the entire continent, with no more geographic specificity underlying possible solutions. In other words, the BSE problem is one of Canadian origin, not a North American one, according to Bullard.

"Only Canada, and the multi-national meatpackers--with plants throughout North America--keep describing Canada's BSE problem as a 'North American herd' problem, and it's in these multi-national meatpackers' financial interests to consolidate the U.S. cattle herd, at the expense of both consumers and U.S. cattle producers," Bullard said. "It is Canada, and Canada alone, that has found--not once, but three times--that its herd carries BSE, while the United States' and Mexican herds show no such BSE risks."

After the Forum ended I did speak with Herseth Sandlin about this issue and mentioned that I have been described as nuts to take serious the Internet discussion about President Bush pushing a North American Union and the globalist New World Order conspiracy theory. Herseth Sandlin did not think it was nuts and mentioned how the direct payment aspect to the Farm Bill is driven by those from the World Trade Organization, and not those from the various commodities groups.

Here is more breaking news on the North American Union issue:

President Bush used the occasion of the first Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America summit in Waco, Texas, in 2005 to call The Minuteman Project "vigilantes." Yesterday, at the third SPP summit in Montebello, Quebec, he charged that anyone who was concerned the SPP was advancing a North American Union agenda or supporting NAFTA Superhighways was a "conspiracy theorist."

The entire Montebello confab took less than 24 hours, barely time for the leaders to fly to the remote Canadian resort in the Quebec woods, have dinner, sleep, hold a press conference and leave.

Calderon openly professed that he needed to return to Mexico to attend to the crisis of Hurricane Dean.

But an underlying reason may have been that all three leaders were so weak in their own countries that none of them really wanted to take on publicly the burden of openly advancing the SPP North American integration agenda when that agenda was increasingly under vocal opposition, especially in Canada and the United States.

I know I will be continuing to pay attention to this North American Union issue.

Look who can't handle the truth

[Note to those who are from Keloland. It is Todd Ep who is intoloerant of traditional American principles and who is not able to defend his intolerance toward those who stand strong for America, Christianity, and the traditional American family. All he knows how to do is call us names like goofy. Typical of those of the Drive-by media.]

I left Todd Epp a comment challenging him to run a correction on his false accusation toward the South Dakota Blogosphere he made on the Drive-by media web site of Keloland. He deleted that comment and says this in a new post:

I have implemented a new policy on SDW. I will take down comments from commenters who have blogs who do not allow comments on their blogs. I will also police anonymous or pseudonymous comments that I think are coming from those who have blogs that do not allow comments.

I think fair is fair.

If Epp wants to be fair, then he should understand that I don’t send his emails to spam. Todd Epp cannot handle being held accountable to the standard of truth. He makes false accusation after false accusation, but has the hypocrisy to say:

Myself and others should not be subjected to criticism from those who don’t allow it towards themselves. If you have a beef with me and want to express it in a comment, have at it just as you have in the past. Just watch your language and don’t defame, just as you have in the past.

It was Epp who referred to the JAIL folks as cock roaches. But To Epp, if he attacks its funny so its OK. Fair? No. Hatred disguised as humor is just another technique the far-left uses to mislead.

I don’t allow comments because of the personal attacks from anonymous sources. This does not add to the mission of finding truth. But Todd Epp allows comments, and for him to discriminate against other web sites is unfair. But it is his web site, so I will honor his rules. I will not comment on his web site unless I allow comments on this web site. And I can not send him emails any more. This is the far-left’s idea of political discourse.

With that said, the link to his web site stays at my side bar. Todd can be mad at me, but I am not mad at him. I actually feel kind of sad for him. Bob Ellis is also trying to help Todd out by leaving this comment:

Seriously, there's no "fear and loathing" of "diversity" at Dakota Voice, and no "fear and loathing" of any of the "victim groups" you alluded to.

However, a lack of "fear and loathing" doesn't constitute acceptance of immoral or irresponsible behavior. Jesus wasn't intolerant or engaged in "fear and loathing" when he confronted people on their sin, or told them "Go and sin no more." Jesus loved people too much to pat them on the back for being "diverse" in their sins and failures, leaving them in the same self-destructive, dead-end way of life, and it's His example I try to follow.

Diversity in our country can be a positive thing...but not at the expense of us all being on the same team. That's where our American motto of E Pluribus Unum comes from, meaning "Out of many, one." Unfortunately disciples of diversity have turned us into a nation of "Out of one, many." We're too wrapped up in the petty identities of our little subgroups to be on the same team and just be "Americans" in the face of a world that's hostile to our way of life.

Diversity that makes the whole stronger is a good thing; diversity for the sake of diversity, or "diversity" under the banner of immorality, or diversity that emphasizes the identity of the parts over the whole, is destructive to the whole and not something to be sought after or praised.

Well said Bob. Too bad your common sense portrayal of Truth is not welcome at Keloland. But they can’t handle the truth neither.

Now if Todd Epp wants to have a discussion about intolerance, comments are open on this thread.

And since Todd Epp refused to comment, he can now longer whine about the comment issue in regard to this web site without being intellectually dishonest. Any furture complaints by Epp will be personal attacks, which is all too typical of Todd Epp, who also likes to whine about personal attacks. When it comes to civil political debate, Epp has not even reached the sophmoric stage yet. Good debate results in a better understanding of the truth. And the truth is something Todd Epp can't handle. He does comment on other web sites in a Drive-by matter. Typical of one who is more media person than blogger.
