Thru my studies over the last few years, I have come to a thesis that the US Constitution has been pretty much destroyed. Not saying that is entirely true, but only saying that it is a premise that deserves thought and discussion. I bring this up after reading an email I got from Lora Hubbel:
"Equal" time was sometimes defined as Hubbel getting 90 SECONDS at a Republican Dinner while Daugaard delivered the Keynote address
...that was more than fair according to several Republican elitists organizing fundraising dinners.
PLUS the SD Newspaper Association had a Senate debate and refused Lora Hubbel's request to even speak at the event (David Bordewyk said she had to be invited and could not attend) while giving the Governor the luncheon keynote address....
You decide...have the media and Republicans given "Equal Access" for this primary?
I admit that Lora was a long shot. And I know what that is like. What drives us conservatives is at least we have an opportunity to tell people what is really going on. Unfortunately, the Lincoln Day events are fundraisers for the Establishment, not forums in which issues are discussed and debated. Debates are the best avenue to get the word out, but they have to be well attended and accurately covered by the media. In the case of this GOP gubernatorial race, there were no debates.
I watch all of the TV ads put up by both Rounds and Daugaard, and because I pay close attention to what is going on in Pierre over the last several years, I am disgusted at how the public is being deceived. And how did these two guys get the campaign money to pay for all those TV ads? By willing to carry water for the beneficiaries of the system of legal corruption that is in place in both Washington DC and Pierre.
The system of corruption will continue as long as the American people believe the deceptions. And how are they going to learn what is really going on when the truthsayers are marginalized and not allowed to speak against the system of legal corruption, even when they take the time to run for a leadership position within the supposedly conservative Republican party?
