Pat Powers claims SDGOP has an electoral disadvantage as Cory Heidelberger goes hypocrite on democracy

Pat Powers goes after Cory Heidelberger:

God bless goofy liberal Cory Heidelberger for the laugh-out-loud comment of the day.

Today’s silly statement is in reference to Dan Lederman’s resignation this afternoon from the South Dakota State Legislature. Apparently, Cory has his panties in a twist because as he pronounces today, with Dan Lederman’s resignation, the Governor should just give Ann Tornberg the State Senate seat

Pat's reason:

The fact of the matter is that Tornberg lost three elections in a row, by five percentage points in 2010, 1 point in 2012, and in the latest election, by a margin of 12%, in a 56% to 44% rout. Somehow, I wouldn’t consider those “Solid” votes.

Pat is right, Cory Heidelberger cares more about power and control than he does democracy.

Later in the post Pat brings in SB 69:

Liberal Democrats are organizing to contest the election reform bill that was passed by the legislature to fix petition deadlines to facilitate military voting, to put all political parties on a level playing field in terms of the number of signatures gathered, and – here’s the part they really hate – it tightly restricts filing “placeholder” candidates – who have no intention of running or serving – that are only ran by political parties to allow more time to find a better candidate.

Again Pat is right to point out that the Democrats are only trying to gain power. But why is Pat arguing that the SDGOP does not have an even playing field today as they are the dominate political power base in South Dakota? SB 69 will only make it more difficult for independents and third parties, who already at a huge disadvantage to the two established parties, to have a chance for political success.

So in one breath Heidelberger disses democracy and says forget about the results of three election, put a Democrat into a Senate seat, and then he organizes a referendum on SB 69 for the sake of saving democracy. Heidelberger ties SB 69 to another act of democracy:

I agree with Superintendent Mitchell that the Rapid City Area School’s proposed five-year, $6-million-per-year opt-out is necessary for maintaining Rapid City School programs. Three arch conservative groups do not...

So I’m curious, Citizens for Liberty, Campaign for Liberty, and Citizens for Academic Transparency: when you get done challenging Rapid City’s opt-out, can you help us challenge the rules the Pierre Establishment is using to keep your allies off the ballot and out of elected office?

So should conservatives support a guy who spends much of his time issuing false cyber attacks toward "arch conservatives"? And I am to just forget about being banned? That answer depends on whether we want to fight within the SDGOP, or do we want to build a coalition of independents, moderate Democrats (unlike Cory and his gang of intolerant revolutionaries), and true conservative Republicans. If it is the later, then we do need to support the referendum on SB 69. Perhaps in the process we can provide some common sense to those who are being indoctrinated with Cory's far-left propaganda.

The Mitchell Daily Republic has coverage of the latest South Dakota Transportation Commission meeting:

Also ahead for the commission will be setting rules for a new program for local bridge funding created in the legislation, SB 1.

The bridge grants will be jointly funded, with $7 million coming from fees and taxes which local governments otherwise would receive, and with $8 million coming from state DOT revenues.

The state commission received from the Legislature the authority to make the bridge-grant decisions.

The Legislature set requirements that a county government seeking aid from the bridge-grant program would need to have a county highway plan in place and would need to be collecting a wheel tax on vehicles registered in the county.

Bergquist said he expects the first round of bridge-grant applications this fall for the commission's consideration.

State law currently allows the wheel tax to be up to $4 per wheel with a maximum of $16 per vehicle. Starting April 1, the Legislature increased those maximums to $5 per wheel and $60 per vehicle.

Counties retain wheel-tax revenue. But many counties don't charge a wheel tax, according to officials.

Bob Benson, of Winner, the commission's chairman and a former state senator, said he still feels that local governments should raise the most they can locally before asking for more from the state government.

Bergquist said the commission has authority to consider the availability of other funding mechanisms and the use of them by the applicant.

So both, the gas tax and the excise tax on vehicles go directly to the state, while license plate fees go to the counties. Of the total $85 million in tax increases, only $17 million is from the 20% increase in license plate fees. As reported, $7 million of those increased taxes on license plates are being redirected by SB 1 to the state Transportation Commission.

The report tells us that the real problem regarding road and bridge funding  lies with that commission:

Bergquist also offered that $1 million more could be considered for the community access grants program that serves cities with populations under 5,000; and $1 million more could flow into the agri-business grants program that assists with rural projects.

All of those programs saw funding reduced in recent years by the commission, as the state Department of Transportation took austerity steps to put more money into maintaining the state highway system.

So it is the Transportation Commission who has been not properly funding roads and brides, while receiving hundreds of millions from Obama's stimulus. And now we have $75 million of the $85 million in new taxes going to the state,  whose history shows they have their own priorities besides fixing rural roads and bridges.

And so much for local control. Instead we have what is called "local effort". I have an email form an legislator who voted in favor of SB 1 that says the purpose was to establish "local effort". That means tax the poor, send it to Pierre, and let the special interests fight over how much their share will be. And they couldn't get the money fast enough, so they declared an emergency so that the tax increases happens April 1. They even tried to get sooner.

 

Cory Heidelberger issues another false cyber attack, the victim this time is Gordon Howie and Rep. Brian Gosch

Cory Heidelberger does a very silly post tying the 80 MPH speed limit to jihad in order to issue a cyber attack on Gordon Howie and Rep. Brian Gosch. This is how it starts:

The Muslim Community Center in Sioux Falls is expanding, Muslims are praying at the Sioux Falls airport, and ISIS has included an Ellsworth AFB soldier on its “Kill List”; ergo, we’re all gonna die! Aaaaaaaahh!!!

The link is to a Gordon Howie's post that simply demands South Dakota Muslims to denounce ISIS. Here is Gordon's conclusion:

Muslims in South Dakota should join non-Muslims in condemning this “Kill list”.  If, indeed, we have nothing to fear from our Muslim brothers and sisters, they should come forward and stand with those of us who reject the violence and disregard for human rights by ISIS.

There is no way a sensible and logical person would get "we're all gonna die!" from that post. Then Cory ends his post with this:

 It also means all those crazy ISIS dudes and other perilous perps will flow through South Dakota, since they can use our free-wheeling roads to get to their targets faster. Holy cow—Gordon’s right! We’re all gonna die… because of Brian Gosch! Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!

Cory's lack of logic got even worse at the end that when he started out. It is typical for postmodern New Agers to embrace irrational thought. Cory provided South Dakota with an example of that. New Age Theocrats are quick to attack Christians and even quicker to defend Muslims. Here is another example of the left's irrational worldview:

It’s interesting to observe the selective outrage of the left and the LGBT community when it comes to, say, Russia’s anti-gay laws and anti-gay sharia. Russia is not calling for the execution of gays, as is required under Islamic law, but that hasn’t stopped the gay community and leftwing leaders (as powerful as Obama) from condemning and loudly speaking out against Russia’s largely toothless legislation.

Russia has been harshly criticized across the world for enacting a law that bans the distribution of “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations” to minors.  Leaders of foreign governments have condemned the law,  as have 27 Nobel Prize winners from the fields of science and the arts.

The idea that the banning of pitching homosexuality to children is somehow so much more heinous and egregious than the death penalty for homosexuality best illustrates the hypocrisy and phoniness of the left and the LGBT community.

When the so-called progressives whine about child abuse, they need to get a mirror. But personal accountability is beyond the capabilities of irrational liberals.

Governor Daugaard proud of this year's legislative session, including Democrats, giving support for the presence of the Socialist/Capitalist alliance here in South Dakota

Governor Daugaard has a column in today's Mitchell paper that shows just how much the executive branch appreciates a legislature that pretty much does what the governor wants:

Earlier this month, the Legislature concluded the main run of its nine-week session. The session is a time for debates, and some disagreements, but we can be proud of the work our legislators did and the decisions they made.

The governor says this about the liberal tax and spend massive road tax legislation:

I also appreciated the Legislature's passage of a comprehensive road and bridge funding bill. Especially in a rural state like South Dakota, good roads are our lifeline. State highways, county oil, township gravel and hundreds of rural bridges are in need of additional maintenance. Maintaining infrastructure is one of the most fundamental functions of government.

Only $10 million of the $85 million in tax increases goes directly to the counties, the rest goes to Pierre. The priorities in Pierre is special interests, not fundamental functions of government. I testified to the enormous increase the Department of Transportation, and the total state budget, enjoyed since the Obama took office. Why didn't they take care of those fundamental functions?

And with 13 of 18 Democrats voting for SB 1, Daugaard also shows appreciate for the Socialist/Capitalist Alliance:

South Dakotans can be proud of the work of our state legislators. The vast majority of the big decisions are made on a bipartisan basis. The highway bill, the juvenile justice bill, the state budget and many other bills passed with broad bipartisan support.

The governor forgot to mention the bill that will further the alliance by making it more difficult for independents to run for office. The result will be the continuing slow move to the left by the SDGOP, with the Democrats giving support. Promoting a more revolutionary agenda by Cory Heidelberger and his gang of New Age Theocrats will only drive more South Dakotans to the polls and voting for liberal Republicans. The dialectics of the Socialist/Capitalist Alliance is operating at a high, but stealth, level in South Dakota, that most don't see the real revolution from above:

 In Revolution From Above, Dr. Kerry Bolton puts forth the hypothesis “that not only liberals but also communists are the ‘useful idiots’ of global plutocrats who desire a World Collectivist State”. He sets out “to expose what might be called the ‘feel-good’ and supposedly ‘progressive’ causes of a variety of types that fool often well-meaning people into serving as dupes for aims of which they know nothing, in the service of individuals and groups which they believe that are opposing”.

Our proverbial skeptic would surely dismiss the thesis as preposterous, but he would just as surely be mistaken to dismiss the historical evidence Dr. Bolton documents so extensively throughout this book. He begins by explaining how “Both Big Business and Marxism view history as dialectical”, meaning that it “proceeds from the clash of opposites (thesis and antithesis) and from this tension emerges something new (synthesis).” A strategy of dialectics employed by ruling elites, Bolton argues, explains the historical capitalist support for “socialist and even communist movements”, such as the U.S. support for Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia.

Perhaps the "progressives", like Cory Heidelberger, should stop their fight and think for a minute before moving on. I tried to recommend that and that got me banned from his web site. If you want to better understand what is going on politically in South Dakota and America, review the research I provided yesterday.

Cory Heidelberger's Neo-Marxist worldview is funded by Big Money plutocratic capitalists that is part of a Socialist-Capitalist Alliance

Cory Heidelberger covers Wisconsin conservative Michael S. Murphy's decision to leave the Republican Party:

Since having served on executive boards of every State Party level during my time with the RPW (Branch, County, District, and State Exec. Committee), it has been a harsh reality for me to observe, and now affirm, that this State Party is controlled by only a few select plutocratic or politically powerful individuals.  What was once thought of as a Party, I have found is actually an oligarchy.  I can no longer stomach the top-down direction and orchestration conducted by those few select individuals, many times without the knowledge of the general Party delegation, and a few times, unbeknownst to even Members of the RPW’s Executive Committee

And we have that same problem in the South Dakota Republican Party.

Cory ends his post with this:

But I always enjoy hearing right-wingers use the word “plutocratic” and recognize that our common enemy is Big Money.

It is conservatives who have the solution to the plutocratic problem, while the Democrats are part of the problem. Here is what Cory Heidelberger and his gang of cultural Neo-Marxists fail to understand about their enemy:

Bolton traces the beginning of the end of Western civilization back several centuries, when merchants and bankers started replacing the land-owning aristocracy as the ruling class, bringing about the birth of usury, industrialization, urbanization and social misery. The apparent paradox is that essentially the same forces created and nurtured socialism. As Bolton shows, however, socialism was never the actual enemy of Big Money — even if the vast majority of socialists have lived and died believing in that illusion.

Bolton notes that this development can be documented as far back as the French Revolution, but begins his narrative with the Russian Revolution of 1917. That the Communist takeover in Russia was heavily financed by Wall Street is an indisputable historical fact, but still systematically ignored in history textbooks and television documentaries.

And my trying to get Cory Heidelberger to understand the illusion is what got me banned from his website. And the reason for that is the indoctrination he and others have been exposed through by the public education system is so ingrained that it is very difficult to deprogram. Most don't understand the role that tax exempt foundations like Rockefeller, Ford, Carnegie, and now Bill and Melinda Gates have played in funding the socialist propaganda in our schools and in the media. And I have research to back that up.

Madvillians are concerned about turkeys and chickens being boiled alive, but support live babies having their limbs ripped off

Steve Hickey has the Madvillian New Age Theocrats all worked up about how their food is butchered. Cory Heidelberger comments on his own thread:

The Washington Posts reported in this 2013 article that “Nearly 1 million chickens and turkeys are unintentionally boiled alive each year in U.S. slaughterhouses, often because fast-moving lines fail to kill the birds before they are dropped into scalding water, Agriculture Department records show.”

I got banned from Heidelberger's website right after commenting about abortion. So how about this statistic from Guttmacher:

In 2011, 1.06 million abortions were performed, down 13% from 1.21 million in 2008. From 1973 through 2011, nearly 53 million legal abortions occurred.

And here are many abortions carried out:

During the second three months of pregnancy, or second trimester, the Dilatation and Evacuation or (D & E) method is used. The cervix is stretched open using pencil lead sized sticks of highly absorbent material inserted into the cervical opening. Over 24 hours they absorb body moisture and swell, opening the cervix. A long pliers-like instrument is inserted into the uterus. Because the baby is too large to fit through the cervix, the abortionist uses the instrument to grab hold of the baby’s leg or arm and twists until it is torn from the body. That part is then pulled through the cervix. This is repeated limb by limb until the baby has been totally torn apart. The spine must also be snapped, and the skull crushed to remove these pieces. The nurse’s job is to lay all the body parts out to make sure they got the entire baby out of the uterus.

During the last three months, or third trimester, a method called Dilatation and Extraction (D & X), also known as Partial Birth Abortion may be used. The abortionist inserts forceps into the stretched cervical opening. He grabs a leg of the unborn baby and turns the baby into a breech (feet pointing toward the birth canal) position. He then pulls the baby out, except for the head that remains in the birth canal. The baby is alive and moving. The abortionist inserts a sharp scissors into the base of the skull. A tube is inserted into the wound and the brain is sucked out. The now-dead infant is then pulled out.

Typical of New Agers to value animals over human beings. And while the boiling alive of chickens is unintentional, abortions are intentional. 

But what really upsets the liberals is the truth...like for example, that big money capitalists not only support slaughterhouses for turkeys and chickens, but also support Planned Parenthood slaughterhouses:

The first chapter in the history of the Frankfurt School ended in 1933, when Hitler came to power. Then, this entire group of Jewish Communist academics, humorously enough, relocatedfrom the German capital of finance, Frankfurt, to the world capital of capitalism, New York, where the exiled Institute was hosted by Columbia University. Prominent members such as Herbert Marcuse and Franz Neumann spent the 1940s in dividing their time between the prestigious Ivy League university and the Office of Strategic Services, which was the precursor to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Later, in the 1960s, Marcuse was to become the Grand Old Man of the “New Left” and on a par with his colleague Wilhelm Reich as the main ideologue of the “sexual revolution.” Bolton documents how abortion, homosexuality, feminism, psychedelic music, and degenerate art has been fostered by the CIA and lavishly funded by Big Money’s tax-exempt foundations such as Ford, Carnegie and Rockefeller. The feminist icon Gloria Steinem has admitted to having worked with the CIA. Evidence has also been uncovered linking drug guru Timothy Leary, propagator of the “turn on, tune in, drop out” catch-phrase of the hippies, to the CIA.

Bolton further explains the above analysis on page 19 of his book Revolution From Above:

Plato writes that woman and children should be 'held in common, and no parent should know the child, or child its parents'.[The Republic Page 237] State nurseries would look after children. Unwanted children would be disposed of by abortion, infanticide, or by secreting the children out to the general community.

Doesn't this, written over two thousand years ago, sound very familiar today? Didn't the Communist states push women onto the labour market by equalising the sexes occupationally, and rearing children through State crèches? And doesn't it sound similar to the measures that have been demanded by feminism and are now being discussed at international conferences charied by feminists and funded by Big Business? Like Plato and Marx, global plutocracy considers family, motherhood and traditional gender roles to be as much hindrances to a globalised economy as they consider nation-states barriers to world trade.

...denigration of the family, population control through social and technological engineering, narcotics and non-reproducing sex. The 'psychedelic revolution,' feminism and the 'New Left' were set up to push this very ideas, and have always been heavily funded by the likes of Ford and Rockefeller foundations. I don't know how many times I proved to the Madvillian New Agers that the Neo-Marxist left (Democratic activists) and the Neo-Fascist right (Republican activists) are controlled conflicts by the plutocrats. It is a very simple application of Hegelian dialectics:

In more common parlance it is called 'globalization' but it is seldom understood in its wider ramifications, as set forth here, especially by the Left, whose activists support  aspects of the same globalization process: multiculturalism, feminism, marijuana liberalization, abortion rights, open borders, and feel-good causes in the name of democracy and 'human rights,'  the results of which are further control by the global plutocracy.

The Left, including the communists have generally served as the useful idiots of international capital ... The Left, whether in its Fabian, communist or New Left  varieties has been appropriated by the system it is supposedly exposing. A post- New Left has emerged since the dissolution of the Soviet Bloc, and takes the form of the so-called 'color revolutions' under the patronage of the Soros network, and others.

The strategy  used by the international oligarchy is the same as that more generally recognized as being a major element in Marxist doctrine; namely dialectics, the conflict of opposing forces that generates a synthesis.

I have made the obvious argument that Big Business (capitalism) uses Big Government (socialism) to further their self-interests. But now we have the premise that the left's promotion of "multiculturalism, feminism, marijuana liberalization, abortion rights, open borders, and feel-good causes in the name of democracy" are also used by the "global plutocracy" to further their self-interests. That is why we see liberal Republicans in Pierre join with liberal Democrats to implement tax and spend liberalism and protect liberal causes such as the transgender movement. Sad that most do not see that and then understand that there is a socialist/capitalist alliance and it has control of our state government.

I agree with Cory Heidelberger, we need a referendum on SB 69

Cory Heidelberger is reporting that SB 69, which is designed to maintain SDGOP Establishment control of South Dakota's government, is getting national attention and then recommends this:

The Centrist Project asks Governor Dennis Daugaard and our Legislature to “revisit” SB 69, but that train left the station with the Governor’s signature Friday. The only action now that can stop Senate Bill 69 is a referendum to put this bill on ice and let voters decide if they want to give up voting rights in the 2016 election.

I agree with Cory on this issue, as I do on others. I even left a very short comment saying that I would support the proposed referendum. But the last time I checked, which was days after I summited it, it was still in moderation. It is becoming more clear that Cory's problem with me is not political as much as it is racist, sexist, and Christophobic. He and his gang of New Age Theocratic cultural Neo-Marxists hate whites, men, and Christians. And not necessarily in that order.

The hypocrisy of Roger Cornelius, and is it racism?

Amazing that a couple of days ago, Cornelius would then whine about being banned at the Rapid City Journal:

The Journal allows the racist to use terms like “drunk Indian” and when I offer a challenge to those comments, the Journal shows their prejudices by not posting my comment.

Saying it is wrong to ban Indian comments but OK to ban comments of whites is racism. Or does Cornelius have another basis for his hypocrisy?

Governor Daugaard congratulates Senator Mike Vehle for moving the SDGOP to the tax and spend liberal left

Governor Dennis Daugaard writes this letter to the editor of the Mitchell Daily Republic congratulating Senator Mike Vehle for promoting the massive tax and spend tax hike that 13 of 18 Democrats also voted in favor of:

Last week, state legislators gave final passage to a comprehensive road and bridge funding bill, which I have signed. Passage of that bill came on the last day of the legislative session, but it also ended a longer effort. For the past seven years, Sen. Mike Vehle, of Mitchell, has led the effort to address South Dakota's long-term transportation funding needs.

As chairman of the transportation committee, Vehle spent years studying the needs of state and local governments, seeking input from the public and informing elected officials and his constituents.

Asking the taxpayers for more money is never easy. Many times, Vehle's fellow legislators told him "No." He continued to promote the issue, because he believed that our state and local roads faced a crisis if we failed to act. Finally, after years of diligent and respectful advocacy, Vehle convinced his peers of the need to take action. He also convinced me, and I helped encourage passage of a transportation bill this year.

I cannot think of another instance where a single legislator has committed so much effort, over so many years, to a single issue. As the session ended, I know many in Pierre admired Vehle's persistence and were happy to see his hard work pay off.

Please congratulate Sen. Mike Vehle when you see him. His constituents are very fortunate to have him serving as their state senator.

 

Cory Heidelberger, a tax dodging tax and spend liberal

Cory Heidelberger admits that he will dodge a tax if he can:

I rode my bike to the courthouse to get my license plate tags yesterday.

My renewal isn’t due until the end of May, as is the case for all South Dakotans with last names ending in H, I, or O, but South Dakotans are allowed to renew their noncommercial vehicle registrations any time within 90 days of the renewal deadline.

Expect a lot of Hansons, Iversons, and Olsens in line at the courthouse during the next couple weeks. Senate Bill 1, the big road tax-and-spend bill passed by our Republican Legislature (I’m not saying that’s bad; I’m just reminding you who did it) raises vehicle registration fees 20% starting April 1. Register your Ford F-150 now, and you’ll save $18. HI-O!

Governor Dennis Daugaard almost didn’t let that loophole happen but apparently changed his position when county treasurers said their lives were hard enough preparing for a tax hike with two weeks’ notice.

Then a commenter asked:

We saved about $97 by getting them today.  Sorry but that money is as good in my pocket as it would be “somewhere else”.  Nothing wrong with that is there?

And Cory's reply:

If legislators wanted to make sure they got your $97, they could have crafted the bill to take effect immediately. They could have imposed a fairness charge on next year’s registrations for A–G and J to make sure everyone paid the same increase.

Amazing how big government liberals are quick to say that their money is better in their pockets and not in the hands of government.  How many times has Cory said increasing taxes is good, and conservatives are bad because they are against raising taxes? But he is quick to use a loophole so he doesn't have to pay. So the only good taxes for Cory are the ones somebody else pays. From a Biblical Christian standpoint, that is coveting. From a secular humanist point of view, that is greedy. So how long will it be when we will see Cory whining about tax loopholes for crony capitalists?
